The baseball team practices Monday through Friday 3:30 until 7. Practice consists of executing plays, running, fly balls, and ground balls. Fly balls are when the coach hits the ball towards the sky with the bat and the player practices catching them. Ground balls are when the coach or a teammate hits the ball towards the ground and the player tries to catch it. They also practice hitting the ball hoping to hit a homerun. A homerun is when the player, who is hitting the ball, hits outfield and gives the player enough time to go through all 3 bases and home safely.
Some achievements Jason Whearly and Daniel Miller hopes to achieve is to get a scholarship for baseball, learning to hit a curve ball, and to get to the bases safely. Daniel Miller explains that if they do not work as a team, nothing is possible. They will not go far in the season and it will cause division amongst the team.
